Chinese New Year 2019 – This year, the London celebrations are taking place on 10 February, which is the Sunday following the date of the Chinese New Year (5th of February). The Year of the Pig is here in 2019 and, as usual, Chinese New Year in London will be one of the most exciting events in February, full of colour, noise and a whole lot of dragons. Chinatown will be bulging with decorations and dancers to mark the start of the Chinese New Year!

Kew’s Orchid Festival will see the botanical garden’s tropical greenhouse bursting with colourful species and in 2019 they will reflect the country’s diverse landscape – from its tropical beaches to its snow-capped mountains.
