February Highlights

Chinese New Year 2019 –  This year, the London celebrations are taking place on 10 February, which is the Sunday following the date of the Chinese New Year (5th of February). The Year of the Pig is here in 2019 and, as usual, Chinese New Year in London will be one of the most exciting events in February, full of colour, noise and a whole lot of dragons. Chinatown will be bulging with decorations and dancers to mark the start of the Chinese New Year!

London Fashion Week Festival – Got  a passion for extremely beautiful (and pricey) fashion? Shop a curated edit of designer collections from over 150 brands, go front row for a show and listen to talks from industry experts so you can get a head start on next season’s trends all while swinging your comp tote bag – fancy. 

Craft Beer Rising – February can be sad with all this rain and early evenings, but this should make you hoppy: a three-day festival showcasing craft beers from 175 of the world’s best breweries. Expect an overflowing line-up of street food, DJ sets and dead delicious suds. Lots of different things to try – even if you don’t like beer — ciders, gluten free beers and even cocktails!

Kew Gardens, Orchid FestivalKew Gardens’ celebration of the orchid returns for its 24th year, starting from 9th February! This time with a focus on the plant life of Colombia. Kew’s Orchid Festival will see the botanical garden’s tropical greenhouse bursting with colourful species and in 2019 they will reflect the country’s diverse landscape – from its tropical beaches to its snow-capped mountains.

Guided walk with Vespucci Adventures—Busy week at city might be exhausting, so why not to go and see countryside of England at South Downs National Park? Vespucci adventures are planning monthly guided walk on 24th February and all of City Apartments guests are welcome to join.
