November in London may mean evenings are longer and the days chillier, but that’s no reason to hole up at home. London is packed with a whole host of ace events and things to do. The biggie event is Bonfire Night and the many glorious firework displays taking place across the city. We’ve got Christmas lights starting to illuminate the capital, ice rinks appearing and winter pop-ups popping-up everywhere, serving mercifully warming booze and mulled wine.

The main firework action takes places on Monday November 5 2018, although events will run before and afterwards .
Skate at Somerset House – Get your skates on. Somerset House’s grand 18th-century courtyard is the stunning setting for an ice rink again this winter. No matter how unimpressive your skating skills a trip to this 900-square-metre outdoor rink will be the very definition of festive fun. From Wednesday 14th November till Saturday 1st December.
Christmas Lights In London – November is the month when London gets transformed into the sparkliest, blingiest, most festive place on earth with the switching on of Christmas lights all over town. Saturday November 11th 2018 – Friday January 1st 2019.
Southbank Centre Winter Festival – The Festival returns for 2018 and along with its array of festive shows and performances they will also be celebrating the coldest season with a fistful of fun pop-ups and activities. Friday November 9th 2018 – Monday December 10th, 2018
Hyde Park Winter Wonderland– The Grinch would have a real job stealing all the Christmas from Hyde Park’s massive tribute to festive fun, which is back for an twelfth year in 2018. Wonderland is free, and a wander past the fairground rides, around child-friendly Santa Land or through the Christmas markets Thursday November 22th 2018 – Sunday January 6th 2019.
