In 2019, the official three-day celebration in London begins on 15 March, and culminates in the annual St Patrick’s Day parade in Central London and Trafalgar Square festivities on 17 March. This year, a three-day extravaganza is taking place and it is set to see over 125,000 turning out for Irish food, dancing and a giant parade featuring pageantry, floats and music.
St Patrick’s Day Parade in London : Be amazed by flamboyant pageantry, elaborate floats, marching bands from across the UK, sports clubs and Irish dancing schools in the annual London St Patrick’s Day Parade. The procession makes its way down Piccadilly, on a 1.5-mile (2.4km) route, passing some of London’s most iconic landmarks, including The Ritz, Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square and onto Whitehall. Accessible to all audiences, the festival aims to transfer the experience of Irish culture to all Londoners and visitors. Organized by the Mayor of London with the support of many Irish businesses, the festival works closely with many Irish cultural organizations, musicians and artists.
