...simply better living in the City

A great thing about living in the City of London is the superb transport links. The City area is smaller than you think so many tube stations are close at hand - and probably not just the one you always walk past!

The bus routes are plentiful and you can almost always find a taxi when you need one. If you're planning on using public transport do get an Oyster Card to ensure you benefit from the cheaper fares and faster access.

Going further? London City Airport is a short taxi ride and St Pancras International (for Eurostar services) is a short hop by tube or taxi too.

Below are links to key travel-related sites; whether you're a weekend in Paris or an afternoon's shopping in Bond Street, you'll find all the travel information you need below. If you're not sure what to look for, our well-travelled Guest Services team can certainly advise you and can be reached on 020 7726 6277 or via help@cityaparts.com.

Private Hire Vehicles and Airport Transfers

Trains, buses, trams and taxis

Blueback...

...and Traditional London Taxi

If you need a taxi and can book a little in advance (an hour should be fine) call Guest Services on 020 7726 6277 to book a cab via our tried and trusted companies.

If you need something at last minute, either hail a licensed 'black' cab on the street or call Blueback on 08707 711711.

Remember: Only ever take a licensed taxi (and by the way, they are not always black!). Many mini cab companies operate in London and whilst the majority are very reputable, some are not. City Apartments only recommend licensed taxi operators.

Eurostar now departs from the brand new (and rather breathtaking) terminal at St Pancras International. All information can be found by visiting www.eurostar.com.

If you don't go for the travel, at least go for the champagne bar!
